Sudan: The Untouched Kingdom of the Middle Nile
Between the third and sixth cataracts of the Nile lies one of the most archaeologically rich and least disturbed regions of the ancient world. In present-day Sudan, the valley still bears traces of the Kingdom of Kush, an African power that dominated the Middle Nile for more than a millennium and extended its reach all the way to the Mediterranean.
